Jim Kjøge - 50 years at Tvilum

One of these very special employees is Jim Kjøge, who today celebrates his impressive 50-year anniversary. In recognition of his extraordinary dedication and long service, Jim has also been awarded The Royal Medal of Reward – a rare honour that underlines his invaluable contribution to the company.

Jim began his career at Tvilum at just 17 years of age, starting as a cleaner. From day one, however, he was quickly put to work in a more active role than initially planned, as a staff absence meant that after only 30 minutes he had to step in and take on new tasks. This marked the beginning of a long and remarkable career with the company – characterized by diligence, responsibility, and a strong will to contribute.

Five decades of experience and development
Over half a century, Jim has been a steady and reliable part of the company and has witnessed enormous development in both production and work processes. Over time, he has built deep professional insight and strong technical understanding, which has made him a central and respected employee. He has taken on increasing responsibility and played an important role in production operations, where his experience has contributed to stability, quality, and efficiency.

Along the way, a long working life naturally also creates lasting memories. When Jim looks back on his years with the company, it is especially the unexpected moments that stand out. He recalls, among other things, a summer’s day when the entire factory was shut down and employees were instead driven to the beach by bus to have lunch together – one of those memories that illustrates the sense of community beyond production.

Jim is also known as a colleague you can rely on. With his overview, quality awareness, and solution-oriented approach, he has created a sense of security in everyday work and has been an important asset to both colleagues and management. His knowledge has been generously shared, and over the years he has helped pass on both expertise and values to new employees.
