With headquarters and production facilities in Denmark and one production facility in Poland, Tvilum is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of ready-to-assemble furniture. Annually, we produce and distribute approximately 5 million pieces of furniture globally.

Since the foundation in 1965, Tvilum has undergone a number of mergers which has given us our current leading international position.

Tvilum Møbelfabrik acquires Faarup Møbelfabrik

HLJ-Industries acquires Scanbirk Møbelfabrik and Unik Møbler

HLJ-Industries acquires Systema

1996

Axcel Industriinvestor acquires 60% of the shares in Tvilum Møbelfabrik and Faarup Møbelfabrik

1997

Tvilum acquires P. Vestergaard in Silkeborg

1997

Tvilum-Scanbirk is formed as a merger of the Tvilum group and the Scanbirk group (HLJ-industries)

2000s

2000

American Masco Corporation acquires Tvilum-Scanbirk

2001

d-Scan is acquired by Masco and becomes part of the Tvilum Family. Today, the facilities of d-Scan is used as local distribution center by Tvilum US

2010s

2011

Tvilum-Scanbirk changes name to Tvilum

2013

American Revolution Capital Group acquires Tvilum

2018

A Danish investor group acquires Tvilum and creates the company Tvilum A/S 2018
